SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 & 2 | Victoria Falls | Gorges Lodges

Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport where your Zimbabwean safari experience begins. You will be met by a shuttle vehicle for your road transfer to Gorges Lodge on the edge of the Batoka Gorge.  The lodge is perched 600 feet above the mighty Zambezi River.  Victoria Falls offers lots of activities.  Take a guided tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, fly over the Falls on a scenic flight, or visit a local village.

Days 3 & 4 | Hwange National Park | Bomani Lodge

After breakfast embark on your road transfer to Impofu Siding (approx. 2 hours) and then board the Elephant Express Rail Car for your rail transfer to Ngamo Siding near Bomani (approx 2 hours).   Once at Bomani you'll have two days for game drives, guided walks in the bush, or get up close to wildlife from the underground hide next to a waterhole.

Days 5 - 7 | Hwange National Park | Jozibanini Tented Camp

Situated in the remote south west of Hwange National Park, where few people visit, you'll then journey to Jozibanini Tented Camp in an exclusive wilderness setting.  Only the wildlife and the park rangers who look after it frequent this area, once roamed by San people. Search for game by vehicle, walking, and even mountain biking.

Days 8 & 9 | Hwange National Park | Nehimba Lodge

You'll pack up and depart Jozi for the drive through the National Park to the spectacular Nehimba Lodge in the Northern part of Hwange National Park.  Grab your day packs and head out with their guide for game drives and walks, exploring this beautiful Northern part of Hwange National Park; the North is distinctly different from the Southern part in topography, habitats and species of wildlife.  Following a day of game drives, enjoy a cocktail on the deck overlooking the waterhole, a popular gathering spot for elephants.

Day 10 | Depart from Victoria Falls

Very early morning tea or coffee on your private deck taking the magnificent sights and sounds of the African bush before a hearty farewell breakfast in the main lodge.  Then it’s time to pack up for your scenic road transfer through the Sinamatella area and then onto the main road to Victoria Falls airport to catch you departing International flight.

Gorges Lodge has arguably the most spectacular views in southern Africa and offers a unique Victoria Falls experience from a peaceful and idyllic base on the edge of the Batoka Gorge.  Whether you are enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise on your private veranda or a cool refreshment by the pool at sunset, you will be constantly drawn to the stunning vistas provided by the Batoka Gorge and the rushing waters of the Zambezi River below.  Accommodations are 10 stone under thatch chalets, all with private verandas that provide stunning views.  Each chalet has en-suite bathrooms with showers, mini bars, overhead fans and tea and coffee making facilities.

Bomani Lodge:  This luxurious tented lodge is situated in a private concession of the magnificent Ngamo Plain, on the edge of the remote and unspoiled south eastern corner of Hwange National Park.  Bomani is famous for its unique scenery as well as its large herds of elephants and all other animals and birdlife resident in Hwange.  Accommodation: 10 tents and one thatched family bungalow.  Every tent is comfortably furnished and have a private en-suite bathroom, hot running water and electricity by diesel/solar generator.

Jozibanini Tented Camp:  Situated in the remote south west of Hwange National Park, Jozi is a small, truly exclusive camp in a truly wild place, providing a unique, untamed wilderness experience.  Guest accommodation consists of only 3 tents: one double bedded and two twin bedded tents on raised wooden decks tucked under shady camelthorn trees and shepherds bush.  Each tent has bucket showers and flush toilets en-suite with an open-topped verandah wide enough to take a bed out for nights under the stars.  The tents overlook Jozibanini Pan and dining is informal ‘fly camp style’ out under the stars.

Nehimba Lodge Remotely nestled away on a huge private concession in the Northern part of Hwange National Park, Nehimba Lodge combines luxury living, ultimate elegance and African charm to provide you with an exceptional safari experience.  Seven spacious thatched chalets are built on teak decks and along with the guest area, overlook the magnificent lodge pan, which are frequented by large numbers of elephants, particularly in the dry season. All the thatched tents have a private balcony, en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, hot running water and electricity by generator.
