A BOTSWANA JOURNEY

Join us on a 7 or 10 day safari as we embark on a journey across Botswana. We'll visit the vast grasslands of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the swamps of the Moremi Game Reserve, the forests and riverfronts of Chobe National Park and the magnificent Victoria Falls.

We offer two styles of safaris: participation or non-participation.  On our participation trips clients will help with camp chores, such as setting up your tent.  On the non-participation safaris we bring extra camp staff who are responsible for all the camp chores.  Clients are free to relax and enjoy their African experience.

Detailed Itinerary for our 7 Day Safari

(Minimum 6 clients)

Clients must fly from Johannesburg to Maun on the early flight to ensure arrival in Maun at 12:10 pm. You may decide to arrive in Johannesburg a few days early to explore the city.  Also you may want to include an extra day at the end of the trip to see more of the Victoria Falls area.  Be aware the price of the trip does not include hotels, food or other expenses outside of your safari dates  (see the "Costs and Terms" page of this site).  Please contact us for suggestions about extending your trip.

Days 1 and 2: Morning flight from Jo'burg to Maun, Botswana.  Meet our guide and depart immediately for the  Moremi Game Reserve to set up camp and begin our first afternoon game drive.  Travel time from Maun to Moremi: 4 hrs.

Days 3 and 4: Drive north from Moremi to Chobe National Park to the Savuti area.  Set up camp and explore the Savuti and Linyanti areas.  Travel time from Maun to Savuti camp: 6 hrs.

Days 5 and 6: Drive from Savuti north to the Chobe River waterfront. Set up camp and explore the floodplains and river habitat of the Chobe River.  Travel time from Savuti to Chobe River: 6hrs.

Day 7: Following breakfast depart the Chobe Waterfront for transfer to Victoria Falls.  Overnight at the Rainbow Hotel.  Lunch, dinner, activities are not included in price.

Detailed Itinerary for our 10 Day Safari

(Minimum 6 clients)

This safari is a circuit starting and ending at the Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. You may decide to arrive in Johannesburg a few days early to explore the city.  Also you may want to include an extra day at the beginning or end of the trip to see more of the Victoria Falls area.  Be aware the price of the trip does not include hotels, food or other expenses outside of your safari dates  (see the "Costs and Terms" page of this site).  Please contact us for suggestions about extending your trip.

Days 1 and 2: Morning flight from Jo'burg to Victoria Falls and depart directly for Kasane, Botswana.  Settle into camp and enjoy an afternoon boat cruise.  Overnight at Thebe River Campsite.  Day 2 will be our first morning of game viewing. Overnight in Chobe National Park.  Travel time from Victoria Falls airport to Thebe River: 2 hrs.

Days 3 and 4: Drive south from Chobe National Park to the Savuti area.  Set up camp and explore the Savuti and Linyanti areas.  Travel time from Maun to Savuti camp: 6 hrs.

Days 5 and 6: Drive from Savuti south to the Moremi Game Reserve. Set up camp and explore the wetlands and woodlands of the Moremi Game Reserve.  Travel time from Savuti to Chobe River: 6hrs.

Days 7: Drive south from Moremi to Maun, Botswana.  We'll resupply and you'll have the day to explore the town, enjoy a mokoro ride, or take a scenic flight over the Okavankgo Delta.  Overnight at a tented lodge on the Thamalakane River (lunch and dinner excluded).  Travel time from Moremi to Maun: 6 hrs.

Day 10: Depart Nxai Pan to the Victoria Falls. Travel time from Nxai Pan to Victoria Falls: 6 hrs.

Day 11: Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport.  Depart.

Optional extension: You may want to add an extra day to spend in Victoria Falls area and depart on day 12.  The falls are spectacular and the area offers a wealth of activities.
