WHAT TO PACK FOR YOUR SAFARI...

Though we visit in the southern African winter, the climate is perfect for camping and game viewing.  Days are usually sunny and dry (temps vary from about 65 - 75 degrees F).  Depending on where we are, nights can range from cold (around 30’sF) to warm (50’sF) so a warm sleeping bag and warm clothes are a necessity (a sleeping bag is NOT provided with the camping supplies so you will need to bring a bag with you.

Suggested Packing List
- 1 pair jeans
- 1 pair khakis
- 3 t-shirts
- 2 long sleeve shirts
- 1 pair shorts
- 4 underwear
- 4 socks
-1 sweater
-1 light jacket
-1 winter hat
-1 baseball hat
- sturdy hiking boots
-1 pair sandals (ie Tevas)

- sunglasses and sun block
- bandana
- towel
- personal toiletries and medications

-1 pair work gloves (for handling firewood etc)
-1 pair winter gloves
- warm sleeping bag  (rated below freezing)
- flashlight/headlamp and batteries
- binoculars
- camera, film, tripod,
- water purifier
- cell phone and charger
- passport and immunization record
- credit and ATM cards
- photocopies of all documents (email yourself copies of important documents)
- books and field guides
